After working on engines, or anything else for that matter for a long time, a person learns a lot of methods, procedures and short cuts. Some really make the job a lot easier, some of them help solve a problem. My intent with this page is to pass along as many engine repair tips as I can to help the novice engine builder.
I will try to add these tips as often as I can remember them. If I use a procedure during the day that I think will be useful, I will add it to the list. I hope this will save somebody some time or aggravation.
There are many people doing engine repairs and almost everyone has thier own little hint or tip.

I totally agree with your tip on keeping all parts, using plastic baggies and old butter/yogurt containers to hold parts. What I found very helpful was …
